GWRRA MAINE DISTRICT NEWSLETTER
May 2010
What a joy to have an early spring and some early riding. Barb and I enjoyed our winter stay in Florida although it wasn't as warm as we had hoped. We are now looking forward to relinquishing our Directorship back to Allen and Claudette for which we are very grateful.
It has been a great 3 years serving you all and we will be forever grateful to have had the opportunity. We are also grateful to the people who have been the backbone of this group, the chapter directors, assistants, treasurers, ride coordinators and volunteers for rides and events. We can all take credit for making the Maine District a successful group within the GWRRA organization. It was unfortunate that we had to close Chapter V, however the Madawaska area folk are still an important part of our group and remain good friends. I hope that they will remain connected through Chapter D in Bangor and with the District. Many of us are looking forward to visiting and attending the annual picnic with Jim and Linda in August.
We are very pleased to learn that Dennis and Sandra will continue to lead Chapter C and that Chapter D is soon to have new leadership. We also are proud of the accomplishments of Chapter A under the expert leadership of Bob and Sheila who have had a marvelous year boosting membership in their area and providing a lot of new ideas and promoting a ton of fun for the members. All the Chapters have done a super job and we commend your efforts.
We leave you with the wish that the District continues to grow strong and that everyone strives to gain more knowledge, ride safely and above all HAVE FUN. We will continue to be good friends and help in any way that we are able.
